I JUST HAD THE OUTLINE DONE 2 WEEKS AGO IN LETTERS FROM MY WRIST TO MY ELBOW (ON BOTH ARMS) IT IS NOW PEELING AND IM NOTICING THAT THE INK ON THE LINES LOOK LIKE ITS COMING OFF , I CAN SEE VERY LITTLE OF THE LINES AND IT LOOKS LIKE IF THE LINE IS A SCAR WHAT CAN I DO AT THIS POINT SHOULD I WAIT UNTILL IT ALL PEELS AND IS MY TATTOO RUINED ????

I think it’s up to your own personal discretion as to how much you expose the tattooed skin to the sun. However, it’s not hard to find an older person with blown out lines in their tattoo from prolonged sun exposure. Just wear sun screen and you’ll be okay.

I would have never thought that keeping a new tattoo out of the sun helped prevent it from fading. It’s best to keep a new tattoo looking fresh and vibrant, even if it means staying in the shade. Would wearing clothes that cover the tattoo be a good idea when going outside?

I want to get a tattoo but also want to get the best artist I can. Thanks for the advice about using places like Instagram to look at pictures of a places artwork. Hopefully, I can find a clean environment to get my tattoo.

My brother has been wanting to get a tattoo ever since we were teenagers. Now that he’s old enough, he wanted to get some ink, but he doesn’t know who he should go to. I’ll take your advice and tell him to research the local artist and artist in the area to see which has the best style, and experience. This way he can be sure he’s getting a great tattoo.

Thanks for the help in finding a quality ointment or lotion for the tattoo. I find that if I can apply something on the tattoo, the moisture and rubbing will tend to relive the itching. Overall, though, I’ve also found that when you just distract your mind, as you say, you’ll eventually get used to the itch and it’ll just slowly go away. Thanks for your insight!
